Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1.  Rivalries bring out the best in competitors and we were reminded of that this weekend. There’s no better rivalry in sports than Army-Navy and an underdog Navy squad upset No. 8 Army 9-4 behind a dominant performance from goalie Spencer Rees. Mere hours later, an underdog Johns Hopkins team took Maryland to the brink, but the No. 1 Terps stayed undefeated.

2. The steamrolling Boston College train finally hit a road bump as Syracuse, down another big offensive threat, got six goals from Emma Tyrrell to snap the Eagles’ nine-game winning streak.

3. The Ivies finally got back on the field in a limited capacity this weekend, including a pair of matchups between Division I and III schools. On Friday night, Adam Goldner set a Penn record with nine goals as the Quakers beat Cabrini 23-9. On Sunday, Tufts, the No. 2 team in the Nike/US Lacrosse rankings, beat Dartmouth 15-9.

4. Playing without star attacker Jamie Ortega, North Carolina got pushed hard by rival Duke, but freshman Caitlyn Wurzburger had the best game of her young career with five goals and Ally Mastroianni scored the game-winner in a 12-11 victory.
